AFRICA ARISE MISSION (A.A.M.)

We need to arise to the call of God and Go to where He sends Us. many of us have been in church too  long and are comfortable , because they don’t want to share their faith with other, they fear confrontation and would say they want peace with all men , but even our Lord Jesus was the prince of peace but did not enjoy peace with all men for He would rebuke them in love and sometime He would make a whip and chase those who did what is not right in the temple.

LORD, OPEN MY EYES, TO THE BLIND SPOTS IN MY LIFE! bearing precious seed by nella

The story of a blind girl!

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend. One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, “Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?” The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying: “Just take care of my eyes dear.” This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there even in the most painful situations. Life Is A Gift Today before you think of saying an unkind word– think of someone who can’t speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food– think of someone who has nothing to eat. Before you complain about your husband or wife– think of someone who is crying out to God for a companion. Today before you complain about life– think of someone who went too early to heaven. Before you complain about your children– think of someone who desires children but they’re barren. Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn’t clean or sweep– think of the people who are living in the streets. Before whining about the distance you drive– think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet. And when you are tired and complain about your job– think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job. But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another– remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker. And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down– put a smile on your face and thank God you’re alive and still around. Life is a gift – Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, and Fulfill it. SPIRITUAL BLIND SPOTS Blind spots are character defects that hurt others and ourselves but that we have yet to identify as real problems. Sometimes blind spots are not totally unknown to us. The Bible warns us many times about blind spots and gives us tools to overcome these hidden sins that are hurting us in visible ways. The Bible Says We Are Responsible Even for Sins in Our Blind Spots The temptation when talking about “spiritual blind spots” is that we can assume they are excusable in the eyes of God. If we are blind to our sin, how can God judge us for it. Psalm 19:12-13 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults. 13. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. God must forgive us of our blind spots because we are always responsible for our own sin. So, like David, we must be diligent in seeking God’s help to expose in us what we cannot see in ourselves because whether we see our issues or not, we will suffer the spiritual and natural consequences of our sins. According to the Bible, Only the Holy Spirit Can Show Us Our Blind Spots Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me,and lead me in the way everlasting!” We need God’s loving correction even when we think there are no problems because we all have blind spots the Holy Spirit is seeking to expose to us in his timing. Blind spots are described in 1 John 1:6-8. Here the Bible says we can “walk in darkness, we lie and not practice the truth . . . we deceive ourselves.” Thankfully the Bible not only warns us of this danger of self-deception towards our own sin, but it also gives us the solution. 1 John 7-10 explains: The solution is to walk in the light, as God is in the light. We must have fellowship with other Christians, and consistently seek the cleansing blood of Jesus as we confess our sins. Notice, too, that the Bible says if we do consistently have blind spots that we are unwilling to repent of, “we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us . . . if we say we have not sinned, we make God a liar, and his word is not in us.” Therefore, if we do not want to deceive ourselves, the truth must be in us. If we do not want to call God a liar, we must make sure his word is in us. Blind spots occur when we to not expose ourselves to the truth, to Jesus, to God’s presence, and do not fill ourselves with Scripture. When we do this, the Bible says the blind spots will be revealed and we will be living in the light.

LOOK UP, FOR JESUS IS COMING AT A MOMENT WHEN YOU THINK NOT! BE READY!

Jesus, Being Filled With The Holy Spirit

Topic: The Fullness Of The Holy Spirit Gives You Victory Over Temptation.

Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.

Luke 4:1-2 (NKJV)

Daily Reading Plan

Isaiah 23–26

Bible Versions:

Luke 4:1–2 (MSG) — Now Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wild. For forty wilderness days and nights he was tested by the Devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when the time was up he was hungry.

Luke 4:1-2 (NLT) Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.

Devotional Thought:

How important it is to be filled with the Holy Spirit! Especially when we face temptations and trials in our lives. The Bible teaches that before Jesus faced temptation in the desert, it was necessary that he be filled with the Holy Spirit. Luke 3:22 tells us, “and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came from heaven, saying, this is my beloved Son; in whom I am well pleased”. It was in his baptism that the Holy Spirit descended and rested in the visible form of a dove. After this supernatural experience, Jesus would experience the greatest temptation of his life!

After Jesus experienced great blessing of fellowship with the Father at the Jordan river, came the crucial moment of trial and temptation. Hebrews 4:15 says, “For we have not a high priest who can not sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.” Jesus was tempted in the desert in the same way that we today experience temptation. The difference is that he did not sin! Jesus overcame temptation and emerged triumphant and victorious. For each assault from the devil, Jesus defeated the devil.

Today we face great temptations and trials in our lives. For this reason, it is so essential that we have the fullness of the Holy Spirit, only then will we overcome the enemy in the wilderness of temptation! Only the power that is infused by the Spirit can enable us to overcome and deal with all the darts that the enemy throws at us. In Hebrews 2:18 Jesus promises victory to those who are tempted, “because in that he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those that are tempted.” Do not give up, for as difficult as it may seems, just fill yourself with the Holy Spirit and He will give you the spiritual capacity to overcome!
